Discussing which pizza is the best in the city is as sensitive as talking about politics. Everyone has their own strong opinion. So, instead, I will sum up some facts about Pizzaiolo to give you an idea of why it’s so great. A quick look at the reviews on Google Maps is already the first indicator that their pizza is amazing (average of 4.7 stars). Secondly, it won the Pizza Master contest in 2022. And lastly, every time when I walk past by, it’s busy. In my personal opinion, it’s the best pizza I’ve tried in Medellin. The fluffy dough is what makes it so incredibly delicious and I think the majority of its guests think it’s amazing too, otherwise, it won’t make sense that it’s so highly reviewed and that there are always customers in the store. So, why don’t you give it a try and decide for yourself.

For me personally, a pizza should be as simple as possible. Similar to burgers, a pizza should stick to its basics and the “less is more” rule applies here too. Again, this is just a personal preference. The Margarita at Pizzaiolo does not disappoint. And for less than 30,000 COP, this authentic tasting pizza is a real bargain!

Recommended by the staff, this somewhat new creation comes with two different types of cheeses, namely parmesan and a ball of burrata. On top of the pizza are bits of crispy pepperoni, which is nicely salty. Just keep in mind that the dressing on top of the pizza is quite sweet. This usually goes well with cheese, but if you’re looking for a solely savory pizza, you might want to get a regular pepperoni pizza.
