Finding empanadas in Medellin is incredibly easy, as basically in every major street, you can find street vendors selling these hearty treats. Now, I’m not claiming that Empanadas Boomerang is the best, but based on the opinions of friends and the many positive reviews you can find on the internet, it’s fair to stay that this empanadas shop does understand how to make tasty empanadas. If you’re nearby, and you’re craving some deep-fried treats, including Pastel de Pollo, then make sure to visit Empanadas Boomerang. You won’t be disappointed!

Decent-sized empanada that is crunchy and richly filled with beef and potato filling. Super tasty. One of the best things about this empanada shop is that the deep-fried snacks come with loads of sauces. And the so-called aji is nicely spicy. For me personally, these are among the best I’ve tried in a while. Freshly made, so they are still nicely warm.

I think the best part of this shop is that the ratio between potatoes and meet is perfectly balanced. It’s not that you have too much or too little meat every time you bite into this pastel. Again, the sauces are a big plus so you can add a different sauce to each bite. Definitely worth visiting!

Although I normally don’t order Palito de Queso, I was not disappointed. I prefer a meat-filled snack, though, but I can’t deny that I enjoyed it. Especially with the sweeter sauces, it was tasty.
